Building on the momentum of last year’s launch of the employee and student scholarship program, the PTDA Foundation continues its commitment to addressing the need for skilled power transmission and motion control (PT/MC) professionals.
“We’re proud to mark the second year of the PTDA Foundation scholarship program, said Matt Pavlinsky, PTDA Foundation president. “The number of applicants continues to grow, reflecting strong interest in PT/MC fields. This year’s scholarships recognize outstanding students as well as those seeking continuing education, and with the program set to expand in 2026, we can support even more talent entering or working in the industry.”
These employee scholarship awards recipients received $2,500 to support continuing education and help advance their careers in the PT/MC industry:
- Stanis Arcel Fotsing Talla, Motion
University of Quebec, bachelor’s degree mechanical engineering
- Chantal Guzman Del Castillo, Regal Rexnord
Milwaukee Area Technical School, associate’s degree mechanical engineering technology
- Jacob Miller, SEW-Eurodrive Inc.
University of South Carolina Upstate, bachelor’s degree engineering technology management
- Isabel Walsh, Regal Rexnord
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, master’s of Business Administration
“This scholarship not only helps me ease the financial burden of my tuition and school supplies but also reminds me that I am supported by a strong community of industry leaders,” says Stanis Arcel Fotsing Talla, employee scholarship recipient. “This recognition further motivates me to study, grow and contribute to the power transmission and motion industry.”
These student scholarship recipients received $3,000 toward their education in a PT/MC-related field:

“I am deeply grateful to be selected as a 2025 PTDA Foundation student scholarship recipient. I recently began my senior year in the Industrial Distribution program at Texas A&M, where I enjoy contributing to the industrial distribution community and supporting the growth of my peers. This scholarship directly supports my ability to balance a demanding academic schedule with professional development opportunities,” states Zach Miller, student scholarship recipient.

Its core purpose is to champion education, outreach and research initiatives relevant to the PT/MC industry that enhance the knowledge and/or professionalism and productivity for industry stakeholders.
