Driving efficiency, powering long-lasting performance: XP1000 tires at Intermodal South America 2026

Listen to this article
  • At booth M023 at Intermodal South America 2026, Trelleborg XP1000 tires demonstrate how tire technology enhances productivity, ensuring stability and uptime in high-intensity material handling operations
  • Trelleborg Tires recognized as the only tire manufacturer in the Smart Intralogistics area (IL02), highlighting the strategic role of its tires in automated operations
  • Featured on the XP1000 tire range, Pit Stop Line provides a clear visual indicator of tire wear, helping operators and fleet managers plan maintenance with precision

Trelleborg Tires will participate in Intermodal South America 2026, held from April 14 to 16 at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo, Brazil, showcasing the XP1000 — a tire engineered to drive productivity and operational efficiency in high-intensity material handling operations.

During the event, Trelleborg Tires will be present at booth M023 and within the Smart Intralogistics area (IL02), reinforcing the role of its tires both in the main exhibition and in initiatives focused on automation, digitalization, and process optimization.

This presence underlines Trelleborg Tires’ positioning as a strategic partner in intralogistics, where tire solutions directly contribute to operational stability, efficiency, and continuity in data-driven and intensive operations.

XP1000: consistent performance for operations that cannot stop

Designed for material handling applications, the Trelleborg XP1000 tires are used on forklifts operating in warehouses, distribution centers, ports and industrial environments, where operational continuity is critical.

Engineered for demanding conditions, the tire delivers enhanced stability, durability, and consistent performance, helping reduce interruptions and maximize productivity.

To support continuous operations, the XP1000 tire features Pit Stop Line technology, a visual wear indicator that identifies the optimal time for tire replacement — up to 100 hours in advance — enabling more accurate maintenance planning and reducing the risk of unplanned downtime.

Produced at the Feira de Santana plant in Brazil, the XP1000 serves both the domestic market and other South American countries. Between 2024 and 2025, production increased by 57.5%, reflecting growing demand for tires designed to improve operational efficiency.

The innovative tread design combines lightweight construction with an advanced fiber compound made from recycled materials, while the exclusive Pit Stop Line minimizes waste — ensuring top performance, material savings, and reduced environmental impact throughout the tire’s lifecycle

Intralogistics transformation: automation, electrification and data

Logistics operations are undergoing a significant transformation, driven by automation, the increasing adoption of electric fleets, and data-driven management — key themes at Intermodal South America this year.

In this context, critical components such as tires play a strategic role by directly impacting operational stability, safety, and continuity.

According to Marcelo Natalini, President of Yokohama TWS South America: “The modernization of logistics operations requires components capable of keeping pace with the sector’s increasing demands for productivity and efficiency. Tires play a key role in this context, directly contributing to operational reliability and continuity.”

Smart Intralogistics: enabling performance-driven operations

The Smart Intralogistics area at Intermodal South America brings together technologies and solutions aimed at transforming operations within warehouses, distribution centers, and industrial facilities, with a focus on automation, system integration, and efficiency.

Within this environment, the XP1000 positions itself as a key component to ensure operational continuity, helping reduce bottlenecks and maximize productivity.

Trelleborg Tires’ presence as the only tire manufacturer in the area reinforces the relevance of tire solutions as an integral part of modern intralogistics systems.
