Ireland-based Combilift has reached a significant milestone in its manufacturing journey—producing its 100,000th forklift. In celebration, the company has transformed this achievement into an opportunity to give back, raising €100,000 for the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) to support children in crisis around the world.
To commemorate this landmark moment, Combilift hosted its largest-ever global competition, offering the exclusive, one-of-a-kind 100,000th “Golden Forklift”—a multidirectional Combi-CBE. All proceeds from the competition’s ticket sales were donated to UNICEF Ireland’s Children’s Emergency Fund.

The campaign generated €56,500 in ticket sales. During a check presentation ceremony, Combilift announced that it had topped up the total contribution to €100,000, demonstrating the company’s long-standing dedication to corporate social responsibility.
Combilift CEO Martin McVicar’s Remarks on the Campaign

“We launched this campaign not just to celebrate a major manufacturing achievement, but to make a real, positive impact in the world beyond our factory walls,” said Martin McVicar, CEO and Co-Founder of Combilift. “By supporting UNICEF, we’re backing one of the world’s most effective humanitarian organizations and helping children in desperate need.”
The donation was formally presented by McVicar to Owen Buckley, Head of Corporate Partnerships at UNICEF Ireland, and Michaela Plunkett, Business Development Manager, in Monaghan.
UNICEF Ireland Responds to the Generosity
Owen Buckley expressed his gratitude for the generous contribution: “As we move into the winter months, our priority is to ensure that children affected by conflict and natural disasters have access to warm clothing, safe shelter, and education. Combilift’s donation will allow us to respond quickly to these urgent needs.”
Winning the Golden Forklift
The lucky winner of the competition was Kareen Farrell, who purchased the winning ticket and traveled to Combilift’s headquarters in Monaghan to receive the exclusive 100,000th Combi-CBE “Golden Forklift.”

“I couldn’t believe it when I found out I had won,” said Kareen Farrell. “I’m not usually lucky, but my dad shared the competition details and bought a ticket to support UNICEF, which is such a worthwhile cause. Winning the forklift was just an amazing bonus.”
Global Impact and Continued Support for UNICEF
The Golden Forklift was first revealed at the IMHX Exhibition in the UK before touring various European trade shows, drawing strong interest from international customers and showcasing Combilift’s global reach and commitment to social responsibility.
