Purkeys improves upon successful SELECT- system

Purkeys, a company focused on providing electrical solutions for the heavy-duty trucking industry, has made enhancements to its SELECT™ Liftgate Charging System that improve a previously successful product.

Initially, Purkeys developed the SELECT to give fleets the ability to charge liftgate batteries from multiple sources, providing flexibility and convenience while addressing issues commonly faced by fleets.

Responding to customer requests made since its release, recent firmware enhancements made to the SELECT system now enable it to operate in parallel with a separate power source (dual pole). This provides a bulk charging opportunity not previously available.

“We saw the needs of our customers and decided to innovate and enhance the Select system to provide a charging solution that nobody else offers,” said Rylar Masco, Purkeys O.E.M. Sales Representative. In addition to firmware enhancements, a module has been added to the SELECT that allows it to work with newer reefer units.

“It’s now the most advanced system on the market. Nobody else can touch the SELECT in terms of the versatility and convenience it provides fleets,” Masco added.

The SELECT remains Purkeys’ best-selling product, and these improvements have cemented its place ahead of its competitors. Maintaining their commitment to innovation, Purkeys hopes to follow its pattern of growth from 2016 as it moves further into the new year.
