Associated has been named a 2014 Outstanding Industry Partner by the Lisle campus of Universal Technical Institute (UTI). This distinction recognizes Associated’s ongoing commitment to hire UTI graduates and participation in various events, such as open houses and career fairs that enrich the campus experience.

Associated was honored to accept this distinction.  They are committed to developing new and innovative methods that provide value to their customer’s supply chains.  Part of that future is their continued partnership with UTI.  At the head of this partnership is Jim Flood, Associated Field Service Manager, who has been involved with UTI for more than 15 years. He has attended countless Program Advisory Committees and career fairs, open houses and has given numerous student presentations and interviews resulting in over 50 hires.

“Service support is one of the material handling industry’s most critical customer support functions.  Today’s customers demand a high level of professionalism and communication, as well as technical ability.  UTI graduates are trained to take this holistic approach when it comes to customer satisfaction,” said Jim Flood, Associated Field Service Manager.

Flood accepted  the honor during the one-year anniversary celebration of UTI-Lisle’s new campus, which included elected officials, industry employers, students and staff.
