Nameplates resist chemicals and abrasion

Listen to this article

Custom nameplates made from plastic instead of metal to provide greater chemical-, weather-, and abrasion-resistance, with more design options, are available from Nameplates For Industry, Inc. of New Bedford, Massachusetts. NFi Plastic Nameplates are made from Mylar® (polyester) or Lexan® (polycar-bonate) and engineered adhesive combinations to provide optimum chemical-, weather-, and abrasion-resistance.  Featuring subsurface printing between the plastic substrate and the equipment’s surface, the image and data are protected from chemicals, weather, and rub-away caused by abrasion. More durable and visible than metal nameplates, NFi Plastic Nameplates can incorporate full-color and metallic inks, photographs, sealed windows with serial numbers, date codes, and other details.  Available 0.005” to 0.030” thick and in sizes up to 11” x 17”, they can also incorporate mounting holes. NFi Plastic Nameplates are priced according to construction and quantity with one week delivery offered.  Price quotes and samples are provided upon request.  The firm has a large inventory of stock tooling to reduce costs.
