CenterPoint Properties is proud to announce the acquisition of an 84,793 SF warehouse, located at 12501 NW 38th Avenue, in Opa Locka, Florida. This property is fully leased to a single tenant on a long term basis and is located on an 8.2 acre land site, which provides for above standard trailer parking and outside storage. Paul Bouldin of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller in the transaction and Sky Groden of JLL represented CenterPoint.

“This property benefits from a central location, a high door count ratio, and is located on a large land site with only 24% site coverage, so we are excited to add this unique warehouse with extra parking to our growing East Coast portfolio,” said Evan Lippow, Vice President of Investments at CenterPoint.

“In less than two years, we have acquired over 2.6 million SF in South Florida – the portfolio has been assembled one building at a time in targeted locations,” said PJ Charlton, Senior Vice President of Investments at CenterPoint. “This transaction brings our total investment in South Florida to more than $300 Million.  Miami is a top five market in the country and we will continue to look for additional acquisition and development opportunities in the region.”

This Eastern Miami-Dade location offers premier access to major transportation and logistics hubs in the region. The warehouse is two miles from the Gratigny Expressway, six miles from both Interstate 95 and I-75, seven miles from Miami International Airport and thirteen miles from the Port of Miami. Site features include 24 dock high doors, above standard trailer and car parking ratios, a secure truck court, and three acres of extra land.
