APEM, Inc.introduces the FR series Hall effect thumb control

APEM, Inc., a manufacturer of joysticks, trackballs and pushbutton switches introduces the new FR Series, a single axis three position Hall effect thumb control designed for material handling and construction applications requiring a reliable device for “change direction” and “gear switching” functions. Operating from a 5VDC supply, the FR is a three position controller providing an analog voltage output at each detent location. The FR Series features contactless Hall effect technology to provide long life performance. Available with single or redundant outputs, this three position controller is rated up to three million full forward to back lifecycles. The FR Series is environmentally sealed to IP69K and designed for operation in extreme temperatures from -40 to +85°C making it ideally suited for material handling, construction and agriculture applications.

The FR Series may be specified with either 10” flying leads or a Molex 2.54mm (.100”) pitch connector in the bottom of the housing. Single output configurations feature a 5 position TE 3-647166-5 connector. Dual output configurations feature a 7 position TE 3-647166-7 connector. APEM’s new FR Series offers a wide range of configuration options including voltage output range, handle color and mounting style.
