Longistics has announced that Malcolm Rawls has been promoted to director of trucking operations. In his new role, Rawls will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the trucking fleet to consistently attain the highest level of safety, security and customer service, as well as working directly with clients to determine their service needs, develop contracts and monitor customer satisfaction. Rawls’ promotion is part of the company’s larger growth strategy, which seeks to enhance their core team by hiring more than 60 drivers and introducing new Volvo trucks with the latest technology to their fleet.

With 26 years of experience in the customer service and trucking operations industries, Rawls joined Longistics in May as an operations manager. His extensive background in trucking includes improving quality, employee retention and productivity while maintaining revenue, reducing claims and improving operational efficiencies. Rawls’ managerial roles have also provided him with experience in educating employees and ensuring safety by administering company policies. He is a certified Smith System® on road trucking training teacher and also holds a certification in hazardous material training.

Rawls is active in supporting several dog rescue organizations in the Triangle, including the Heart of Dixie Akita and Southern States Mastiff rescue shelters. He resides in Wake Forest with his wife and daughter.
