Plastic nameplates subsurface printing outlasts metal

Listen to this article

Custom plastic nameplates that are more chemical and abrasion-resistant than metal nameplates and offer many more design options are available from Nameplates For Industry, Inc. of New Bedford, Massachusetts.

NFi Plastic Nameplates feature subsurface printing between the durable plastic substrate and the equipment’s surface which protects the image and data from rub-away caused by abrasion and weather.  More durable than metal nameplates, they can incorporate full-color and metallic inks, photographs, sealed windows with serial numbers, date codes, and other details.

Made from Mylar® (polyester) or Lexan® (polycarbonate) and adhesive combin-ations for optimum performance characteristics such as solvent-, weather-, and a hard coat for abrasion-resistance, NFi Plastic Nameplates are offered in brushed, glossy, matte, and textured finishes.  Available 0.005” to 0.030” thick, they can also incorporate mounting holes.

NFi Plastic Nameplates are priced according to construction with low cost tooling due to a large inventory of stock tooling.
