MCFA announces plans to open new parts warehouse

Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA) announced that it will open its first South American-based parts warehouse in São Paulo, Brazil, later this year. The new warehouse will localize parts availability to further support rising customer demand in the region. Brazil, a growing market for forklifts fueled by an increase in oil and gas-related development projects, has seen a 125 percent increase in material handling equipment use in recent years. The São Paulo facility will house parts inventories for both Cat lift trucks and Mitsubishi forklift trucks and will offer parts for competitive forklift brands through MCFA’s Promatch® parts program. The strategy will give customers access to a wide selection of parts that meet or exceed OEM specifications. “Our new Sao Paulo warehouse will allow us to meet increasing customer demand in South America,” said Matt Wilczek, director of parts for MCFA. “It also reinforces MCFA’s commitment to providing the highest quality parts supported by industry-leading customer service.”

The opening of the parts warehouse in Brazil marks an important milestone in MCFA’s history as the company continues to expand its commercial presence in South America. “We see tremendous growth potential in South America, specifically in Brazil, and we’re very excited to open our first parts facility in the region,” said Kent Eudy, executive vice president of sales and marketing for MCFA. “The opening of this new facility not only enables us to service customer demand, but it also lays the foundation for our long-term strategy to establish full-scale production capabilities for both Cat lift trucks and Mitsubishi forklift trucks directly in the region.”  MCFA will open the parts warehouse and begin distribution in November of 2013.
