Multi-Conveyor LLC was presented with the ACUITY Safety Award for businesses that exemplify the partnership with ACUITY that helps ensure a safe work place. The plaque was presented by Angela Banerjee, Sr. Loss Control Representative at ACUITY, to Joe Miller, Operations Manager, Jan Wuestneck, Safety Coordinator, and Ed Doe, owner of Multi-Conveyor LLC in Winneconne, Wisconsin. The award presentation was also accompanied by Tom Paroubek and Bobbi Piton, of the Paroubek Insurance Agency of DePere. “At Multi-Conveyor, we pride ourselves on keeping our employees’ best interests at heart, and an important part of that is safety,” says Ms. Wuestneck. “We are very excited that our excellent record for workplace safety achievement has been recognized”. Wuestneck not only spearheads policies but also oversees OSHA requirements for the company. “The ACUITY Safety Award is a testament to the commitment to safe work practices that are achieved by our employees through hard work and dedication to the programs we’ve put in place,” Miller explains. “In our industry workplace safety hazards are subject to continual change based on our current projects. It requires a great deal of skill and effort by all the men and women on our team to continually identify and react to any new situations.” Thanks to Multi-Conveyor’s team safety dedication efforts, assisted by Todd Borkowski, production manager, and Dave Colwell, assembly supervisor, we are able to receive this award on behalf of the entire company.” At Multi-Conveyor, safety is taught to every employee working on the manufacturing floor or in the offices of our newly expanded and renovated 60,000 sq. ft. facility. The attention paid to our safety program has allowed Multi-Conveyor to attain an eight-year record over one million hours without a lost time accident. Multi-Conveyor’s safety record also contributed towards an excellent EMR (Experience Modification Rate), a rating used by the insurance industry to determine worker’s compensation rates. These safety accomplishments can also factor in Multi-Conveyor earning the ACUITY Award.
