The Top Supply Chain Projects award recognizes innovative case study-type projects that aim to automate, optimize, streamline, and enhance the supply chain.

YMX Logistics has been recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine with the 2025 Top Supply Chain Projects Award. This honor highlights supply chain initiatives that drive measurable improvements through innovation, automation, and strategic collaboration.

YMX earned the award for significantly improving yard operations at one of the largest and most complex distribution centers for one of the five largest grocery retailers in the U.S. The project addressed chronic inefficiencies, shipment delays, high operating costs, labor instability, and safety risks at a 24/7 distribution center previously managed by another industry provider.

“By shifting from a reactive service model to a proactive, data-driven strategy, YMX helped the retailer take control of facility performance, significantly reduce costs, and create a safer, more efficient yard and DC operations,” said Erin Mitchell, Chief Operating Officer of YMX Logistics.

The transformation was achieved by implementing YMX’s proprietary yard operating system, YMX OS. YMX OS combines operational expertise with technology enablement, including real-time visibility, standardized processes, and a performance-based framework delivering the highest level of service and optimized yard operations for both the retailer and its third-party providers.
