Mecalux integrates GenAI into its easy WMS warehouse management system

Users can query logistics operation data, create reports, and generate dashboards  via chat.
Requests such as releasing orders or unblocking aisles are executed automatically once the action is confirmed in conversation.

Mecalux Software Solutions has integrated generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) into its Easy WMS warehouse management system to provide natural responses to information requests. Users of this solution — implemented in over 1,100 warehouses across 36 countries — can now interact with the system via chat. Mimicking human interaction, it interprets and answers complex questions in seven languages.

This innovation, developed by Mecalux’s team of specialized engineers, aims to streamline warehouse processes by facilitating decision-making and task execution.  Users can inquire about any warehouse-related aspect, and Easy WMS will provide  precise answers in various formats, including figures, lists, tables, and charts.

Mecalux’s GenAI can generate downloadable reports with the necessary data for inventory management, create visual summaries of outbound order status and real-time occupancy levels, and provide information on the current stock for a specific product.  Users can also execute specific actions while interacting with the AI tool. For example,  they can request the release of all orders marked for express delivery or the unblocking of a specific aisle. These actions are performed automatically once confirmed through the chat.

Driving logistics innovation

The integration of GenAI into Easy WMS represents a significant step forward in optimizing logistics operations with this software. The system is continuously updated and will continue to evolve through user feedback, allowing Mecalux to refine its responses and better adapt to its clients’ changing needs. The intralogistics solutions specialist also leverages AI to enhance the quality of its software and assist its developers in generating and reviewing code.
