Honors go to Anchor Management, Strongsville, Ohio; Pioneer Reps, Livingston, N.J./ Pittsburgh, Pa.; and Southern Market Share, Greenville, N.C.
Berner International LLC., New Castle, Pa., a U.S. manufacturer and innovator of air curtains, honored manufacturer’s representative Anchor Management Inc., Strongsville, Ohio, recently with its Presidential Gold Award for Outstanding Sales Achievement—2018 for its industrial dock and door division. Joe Banas sales manager, Berner, presented the award plaque to Anchor Management President, John McCartney at a rep celebration function.
Other award winners were:
- Presidential Silver: Pioneer Reps, John Oliveira, principal, Livingston, N.J.; and Michael Farber, partner, Pittsburgh, Pa.;
- Presidential Bronze: Southern Market Share, Greenville, S.C., Tom Gondi, principal.
The 23-year-old Anchor Management, which covers the territory of Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana and parts of Illinois, gathered the necessary input information and partnered with dealers to oversee their extensive and challenging air curtain projects last year. One project for a Midwestern steel coil manufacturer required air curtains on shipping doors near a hole punching process that required strict temperature tolerances for quality control. Another challenge was a Michigan furniture refinisher that used shipping door air curtains to prevent small flying insect infiltration that was marring freshly lacquered and varnished surfaces. Anchor also facilitated an interior pedestrian doorway air curtain design to keep a padlock manufacturer’s production floor grinding dust from infiltrating adjacent offices. Anchor also won a bronze award in 2017.
Pioneer Reps, which covers West Virginia, Maryland, New York, Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania territories, has won annual sales awards most of its 10-year Berner representative career, including another silver in 2015, and a gold in 2016 and 2017.
Southern Market Share, which covers North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Florida for Berner, helped facilitate the application of two large Industrial Direct Drive air curtains over high speed doors in a food processing plant’s refrigerated area. The application successfully prevented the ice build-up from impinging on the doorway, resulting in a short payback because it eliminated costly monthly ice removal maintenance. The 17-year-old company also helped a door dealer sell 20 air curtains to a textile mill for temperature, dust and debris control. Southern Market Share has also won bronze, silver and gold sales awards from Berner in 2018, 2016 and 2017, respectively.
