WIKA Mobile Control recently released an upgrade solution for the DS350 modular boom control systems currently in the field. This solution converts existing DS350 modular systems to the iFLEX5 graphic boom control system. This upgrade is applicable to the DS350 modular systems that are installed on Grove TM9100, AT9120 and RT9130 machines equipped with two (2) cable reels.
The iFLEX5 boom control system replaces all existing components including console, central unit, cable reels, pressure transducers and cable assemblies. Crane owners can benefit from this upgrade as the system replaces 4…20 MA sensors with CANbus sensors. As with the DS350 modular, the iFLEX5 offers the same functionality and provides a viable solution as the DS350 modular boom control components are discontinued and no longer available.
