TVH receives Platinum Certification

Listen to this article

TVH in the Americas (TVH), a provider of quality replacement parts and accessories for the material handling and equipment industries, has been awarded a Platinum Level Workplace Wellness certification by the Greater KC Chamber of Commerce’s Healthy KC initiative for the second year in a row. Healthy KC aims to make Kansas City a healthy place to live, work and play. It advocates for real solutions that help shape individual, organizational, and environmental health changes.

The Kansas City Chamber introduced the Healthy KC Workplace Wellness Certification Program to recognize KC-based companies for their efforts in prioritizing the Five Pillars of Health, such as nutrition, physical activity, tobacco cessation, work-life integration, and design & built environment.

The Platinum Level is the highest level of certification that a company can be awarded. TVH owes this honor to its Nudge program, which strives to encourage and support employees to live a healthy lifestyle by providing classes, activities and information on a variety of topics covering physical, psychological and over-all well-being. The Nudge program is dedicated to addressing an employee’s total wellness, which is much more than diet and exercise. On a regular basis, the program provides walking challenges, weekly fruit day, on-site gym, educational classes, a full-time on-site Health and Wellness Coach, and so much more that employees greatly appreciate.

“The Nudge program has become a valuable asset and resource for our employees. From the monthly guest speakers, wellness activities and challenges to on-site fitness facility, there is something to appeal to every employee,” said Lucy DelSarto, Health and Wellness Coach. “The spirit of our Nudge program is going well beyond TVH because our employees often take home what they’ve experienced and learned, transforming lives beyond the workplace.”
