Big Joe Forklifts introduced four new additions to their incredibly successful Joey family of products, two new Li-ion powered pallet trucks and the PDX50 custom stacker at ProMat in Chicago, IL.  “Everybody uses a big show like ProMat to launch their new products,” said Scott Strack, Marketing Manager, “but to introduce seven?  That’s how you make a statement.”

Big Joe debuted the all new J1HD task support vehicle on day one of the show to an assembled audience of attendees and media VIPs.  This 48v Li-ion powered task support vehicle boasts 210” of lift, and a top speed of 7mph; it is the biggest, most capable Joey yet.  Also making its debut at ProMat was the JTT Joey tugger.  Based on the J1HD platform, the JTT is capable of towing 8,800lbs.  The new Joey Zero with its compact footprint, rear entry and 118” of lift was available for attendees to pilot around an 800 sq. ft. track on the show floor.  Rounding out the intros was the New Joey eStep semi-electric access vehicle.  Featuring 48” of lift, it is a safer alternative to step stools in the work environment.

A highlight of the Big Joe STACK booth was the introduction of the PDX50, the first completely new, Made-in-the-USA, walkie stacker in a generation.  “The PDX is a beast of a truck, it can put out ten gallons per minute which is unheard of in a straddle stacker,” said Bill Pedriana, CMO.  It boasts 5,000 lb. capacity and 48v Li-ion power on a customizable chassis, which makes it an excellent choice for applications such as furnace loading or special handling of dies, coils or rolls.  Extended load center ratings, specialty attachments and unique configurations will be available.

The Li-ion revolution also made its debut at the Move booth, with the introduction of two new pallet trucks, the E33 and WPL44.  With capacities of 3,300lbs. and 4,400 lbs. respectively, these pallet trucks feature quick-change Li-ion batteries and powerful permanent magnet drive motors.  The WPL44 also features an innovative quick-change control module and control head.
