Presentation at World of Concrete 2019 to Examine Future of Internal Combustion

Peter Kelly Senecal, Ph.D., to address attendees at annual trade show for construction professionals

Some construction industry observers have started to question the future of gas and diesel engines as battery-powered equipment slowly begins to make inroads. But, others believe the impending demise of internal combustion has been grossly overblown. Peter Kelly Senecal, Ph.D., will provide an in-depth look at current and upcoming engine technologies for construction equipment during his informative presentation at World of Concrete 2019, “The Premature Burial of Internal Combustion Engines.” This free session will be available to World of Concrete attendees on Wednesday, January 23 at 3 p.m. and Thursday, January 24 at 2 p.m. Both presentations will be provided in the KOHLER Engines booth, located in the Central Hall at #C4015.

“We value Dr. Senecal’s perspective and believe those at this year’s World of Concrete will enjoy this thought-provoking presentation,” said Jennifer Rindt, marketing manager for diesel engines at KOHLER Engines. “He’ll provide an overview of many different technologies to help listeners better understand their options, which can lead to more informed purchasing decisions – and more efficient operations – moving forward.”

Peter Kelly Senecal is owner and vice president of Convergent Science, a world leader in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software. He earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has been elected an SAE Fellow in recognition of his contributions to the mobility engineering profession.
