Listen to this article

Ohio CAT, the authorized and exclusive Caterpillar Dealer in Ohio, northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana, kicked off construction of its newest building project with a ceremonial groundbreaking at its recently purchased property in the City of Perrysburg.

Building construction at the nearly 40-acre property off of Eckel Junction Rd. will house Ohio CAT, The Cat Rental Store and Northern Ohio Peterbilt, all on one campus. The project will consist of construction of a 65,250 square foot building including shop space, a parts warehouse, and office space for Ohio CAT’s machine sales, rental and administrative personnel. Other equipment related work includes an 8,300 square foot Wash Building and a 5,940 square foot Cold Storage structure.  In addition, Northern Ohio Peterbilt, the company’s on highway truck dealership, will be housed in a new 68,000 square foot building adjacent to Ohio CAT with 26 service bays and a 7,400 square foot Cold Storage structure.

Increased business activity in northwest Ohio has necessitated a larger facility for Ohio CAT in the Toledo market, and for the first time, its Peterbilt Dealership will have a full service location in the Toledo area. The company is very optimistic about continued growth in Wood County, and it looks forward to providing its customers with the absolute best in customer service through the increased personnel and enhanced capabilities offered by the new facilities.

For nearly 75 years, Ohio CAT has been serving the equipment and power systems needs of local businesses in the state of Ohio, and over the past 15 years the company has diversified into the agricultural equipment business as well as the on highway truck business. Specializing in rental services, The Cat Rental Store provides Cat and Non-Cat rental solutions on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Northern Ohio Peterbilt sells and supports heavy duty, medium duty and vocational Peterbilt trucks, and its parts stores carry both OEM and aftermarket parts. The company’s Ag Division, Ohio Ag Equipment, sells and supports a full line of AGCO and CLAAS agricultural equipment. And component repair and remanufacturing services are provided by its Growth Opportunities Division through Complete Hydraulic Service in Bolivar and International Fuel Systems in Findlay.  Ohio CAT’s Corporate Headquarters is located at 3993 East Royalton Road, Broadview Heights, Ohio.
