Crown Equipment Corporation, one of the world’s largest material handling companies, announced that it has been named among Forbes Magazine’s “America’s Best Employers” for 2019.

“We are honored to receive this distinction as a celebration of our employees’ efforts to help make Crown a great place to work and build a successful career,” said Jim Dicke III, president, Crown Equipment. “Our Crown employees are an incredible group of people, passionate about innovation and committed to our customers. The environment they foster and the work they do helps us to continue to attract and retain a workforce committed to exceptional quality and customer service. We are grateful to all of the employees who provided feedback and insights as part of Forbes’ objective evaluation process.”

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to create its own independent research panel and conduct a survey of approximately 50,000 workers throughout the United States. Survey participants were asked to identify and rate their employer according to their likelihood to recommend the company to a friend or family member.

Participants were also asked about recommendations of other companies they would or would not recommend as an employer based on their own knowledge or impressions. Results for all companies mentioned by participants during the survey process were compiled based on both the quantity and quality of the responses received with only the top finishers designated as “America’s Best Employers.”

Crown’s workforce grew by more than 50 percent in the past five years.  The company currently employs more than 15,500 people worldwide, including 10,800 in the United States across 84 locations. Crown offers employees a number of career benefits, including onboarding and training programs, competitive wages and compensation packages, and multiple pathways for long-term career advancement. The company has earned recognition globally for its product design, sustainability initiatives and employee diversity programs.
