CLARK Material Handling Company, a top-ten global manufacturer of forklift trucks and aftermarket parts, hosted John Yarmuth, U.S. Representative for Kentucky’s 3rd District and Chairman of the House Budget Committee, at their Louisville Parts Distribution Center.

Accompanied by CLARK President & CEO Dennis Lawrence and members of the CLARK management team, Chairman Yarmuth toured CLARK’s state-of-the-art aftermarket parts distribution center that services the CLARK global dealer network.

In visiting the 166,000 square foot facility, Rep. Yarmuth met the employees responsible for the facility’s day-to-day operations. This provided the congressman the opportunity to interact with his constituents and learn more about operations at CLARK.

Rep. Yarmuth, and CLARK team members discuss the impact capacity and operations of the CLARK Louisville facility

“Having the capability to inventory over 40,000 unique parts and 600 forklifts in our Louisville facility allows CLARK to take full advantage of the logistical advantages Louisville has to offer: central location to US markets and close proximity to UPS Worldport. Both are critical for domestic and international shipping,” noted Robb Barnes Director of Aftermarket Operations and Transportation

“We truly appreciate Representative Yarmuth taking the time from his schedule to meet with us and learn more about our growing manufacturing and distribution footprint in both Lexington and Louisville. Anytime there is an opportunity to connect with local, state and federal representatives there is a greater likelihood for a positive impact on our company and the Commonwealth of Kentucky,” Barnes added.

Overall Chairman Yarmuth was very impressed with CLARK’s Louisville facility, and thanked CLARK for its positive impact on the Louisville community.
