MHEFI asks for your assistance to impact the future of our industry

As 2018 draws to an end, we would like to encourage you to keep the Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc. (MHEFI), in your charitable giving plans. You have the opportunity to impact the future of our industry.

It is the mission of the Foundation, “To attract students to the material handling, logistics and supply chain industry by providing financial support.” We are proud to report that in 2018, the Foundation awarded forty-two scholarships totaling $131,000. Please see the newsletter for highlights of the Foundation’s 2018 activities.

The money you provide enables the Foundation to award scholarships and grants for:

  • University students who are likely to work in our industry
  • Students and educators to attend ProMat 2019
  • Experiential opportunities for students to attend conferences such as the Women in Industry Conference, Automatic Identification Data Capture Conference, etc.
  • Certifications that support needed industry competencies.
  • Start-ups for high school/technical schools working labs.

Eighty-five percent of the students that have been supported by the Foundation are currently working in the industry. Many are working for MHI Member Companies. Your contributions help us attract talent to our industry to fill the workforce shortages that many companies are experiencing.

Please join us along with the Foundation Board of Directors and the MHI Board of Governors as we seek to raise $20,000 by December 31, 2018 to create a more skilled pipeline and develop the future material handling workforce. To help us accomplish this joint initiative, we need investments and donations from industry leaders, like you. Please use the pledge form to indicate your level of investment and return it to the Foundation at [email protected] or the the MHEFI address:

You may also make online contributions here. Please note that 90% of your contributions go to the students we support.
