IWLA, the resource for warehouse logistics, congratulates the winners of the 2015 IWLA Innovation Contest. The competition, open to exhibitors during the 2015 International Warehouse Logistics Association Convention & Expo, recognized the most innovative product and service showcased on the show floor. Select Staffing received the most votes in the Most Innovative Service category. FlatFork won Most Innovative Product.

The contest complements the 2015 event theme, “Connect. Discover. Innovate.” by highlighting exhibitors that provide unique products and services to the warehouse logistics industry. Attendees cast their votes throughout the three-day. IWLA announced winners during the March 10 IWLA Chairman’s Reception, March 10, in Savannah, Ga.

“Warehouse logistics organizations are constantly evolving their services to meet client needs. In order to do this, they need to partner with vendors whose tools allow them to grow in new directions and expand their product offerings,” says newly elected IWLA Chairman Rob Doyle, CWLP, vice president business development at Commercial Warehousing in Winter Haven, Fla. Doyle oversaw the 2015 event as chairman of the IWLA Convention Planning Committee.

Here is an overview of the IWLA Innovation Contest winners:

Most Innovative Service: Select Staffing
Select Staffing is a top 10 U.S. staffing firm with offices nationwide. The company’s solutions meet the unique workforce challenges 3PL companies face, including: state-of-the-art recruiting and screening, industry-leading safety programs, and cutting-edge workforce management tools. Select’s web-based Teamlink tool gives clients real-time access to important metrics and robust reports. Through its risk-management program, Select offers a behavior-based safety mobile application. This allows on-site managers to walk the floor and document behavior-based safety compliance on the spot from via mobile device.

Most Innovative Product: FlatFork

The FlatFork works for counterbalanced forklifts and straddle/reach lifts. The device quickly and effectively shows a reach truck driver if his forks are level when handling a load. It is wireless (RFID device), battery powered (“D” batteries last over a year), portable (attaches with powerful rare earth magnets), weatherproof (IP 65 rating), accurate (within o.25 of one degree), simple (less than one-minute to set up and install – no tools required), and affordable. FlatFork is U.S. engineered and made.
