UniCarriers Americas hires new senior manager of logistics and trade compliance

UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA) expands its management team by hiring Cliff Pinto as its senior manager of logistics and trade compliance. In this position, Pinto is responsible for managing import and export operations, overseeing transportation and logistics on the domestic and international level and regulating distribution and trade compliance.

Pinto has more than 20 years of experience with roles in logistics, trade compliance and operations. Prior to joining UCA, Pinto spent five years as a logistics manager for Mitsubishi Electric Automation. He also worked as an ocean import manager, route development manager and business development manager for Panalpina, Inc.

“Cliff is a proven leader in the design and execution of building a responsive supply chain,” said Steve Schmidt, director of supply chain management at UCA. “He aims to make UCA successful by meeting and exceeding customer expectations and aligning department goals with our business strategy.”

Pinto earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Delhi University and a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University. He lives in Hoffman Estates, Ill., with his wife and son. In his spare time, Pinto enjoys traveling and volunteering.
