Shoppa’s Material Handling, the largest Toyota Industrial Equipment distributer in the Southwest, announced today that David Gaona has joined the company to further enhance customer support services for the Fort Worth area and manage operations of the newly expanded full-service Saginaw location. David Gaona comes with a wealth of material handling and business experience, having spent the last 11 years as owner of One Specialty Concrete, Landscaping & Pools.

As part of the company’s remodeling of its 7-acre facility in Saginaw, David will serve as Operations Manager. Previously the Saginaw location served as a satellite location for golf cars, utility vehicles and pallet racks for the material handling company. Once completed, the remodeled facility will serve as a full-service Toyota forklift dealership first and foremost offering new and used equipment sales, parts, service, rental and training. The location will also host the expanded pallet rack warehouse design, installation and supply department, the industrial utility and golf car division and a state-of-the-art reconditioning center for pre-owned forklifts.

“I’m excited to be joining the team and look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence carried out by Toyota and Shoppa’s Material Handling,” stated Gaona. “We are passionate about providing quality innovative material handling products and services to our customers that will then reduce costs, improve safety and maximize productivity,” he added.

Gaona holds his accounting degree from the University of North Texas and previously has been in sales and management with Shoppa’s Material Handling and Clarklift of Fort Worth. David’s business philosophy is centered around four guiding principals of business ethics, exceeding customer expectations, active listening and communication as well as the pursuit of excellence.

Jim Shoppa, President of Shoppa’s Material Handling states, “As we continue to grow, we need a seasoned management team to continue to improve the customer experience. We welcome David’s strong leadership skills and are confident in his abilities to manage the expansion and remodeling of the Saginaw location which will bring the Toyota forklift brand closer to our Tarrant County customers.”
