Power Packaging achieves Safe Quality Food Level 3 certification at all five of its facilities

Power Packaging, a DHL Supply Chain company and part of Deutsche Post DHL Group, announced the achievement of Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 3 certification at all five of its manufacturing facilities. SQF is a food safety certification based on international standards as set forth by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is recognized by consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies around the world who require food safety and quality management systems from their suppliers. SQF Level 3 is the highest designation for quality and food safety a facility can receive within the SQF Code. Power Packaging’s facilities are located in St. Charles, Geneva, and Batavia, Illinois, Rosendale, Wisconsin, and Grand Prairie, Texas.

“We are committed to providing the highest levels of food safety and quality certification to our customers,” said Gordon Gruszka, President of Power Packaging. “We set a goal in 2015 to elevate our Power Packaging facilities from SQF Level 2 to SQF Level 3 and we met this milestone in June 2016. Maintaining this SQF Level 3 certification will remain a top priority for us.”

Leahy-IFP, a beverage company that specializes in the production of premium foodservice products, has been a customer of Power Packaging for more than 25 years.

“As our partner, Power Packaging helps us meet our food safety and quality assurance goals by following strict testing protocols, safety standards, and quality codes, which are vital to our company,” said Mike Leahy, President and CEO of Leahy-IFP. “By working together to ensure quality, we can continue to deliver superior products to our customers.”
