Memphis logistics exec joins IWLA board of directors

Members of the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA), the resource for warehouse logistics, recently elected, David S. Hamilton, founder and CEO of Impact Logistics Inc., based in Memphis, Tenn., to a three-year term on the IWLA Board of Directors. Hamilton’s position was formally announced during the recent IWLA Annual Business Meeting.

Hamilton launched Impact logistics in 1986, as a performance-focused labor provider serving the distribution and third party logistics industry. Today, the company operates in seven states and employs 2,000 people. He is also the founder of Point of Impact, a nonprofit organization in Honduras providing more than 500 children with medical assistance, nutrition, and tutoring.

“David has experience in both sides of the industry—he knows how to run a warehouse and how to be service provider to a warehouse,” says IWLA President & CEO Steve DeHaan. “This dual perspective will be an asset to serving as the IWLA Partner Member Committee Board Liaison.”
