IWLA recognizes innovative warehouse lighting and safety providers

IWLA, the resource for warehouse logistics, congratulates Foreverlamp and Castell Interlocks, winners of the 2016 IWLA Innovation Contest. Attendees of the 125th International Warehouse Logistics Association Convention & Expo in Orlando, Fla., chose the companies as 2016 winners. Company representatives received the award during the March 15 Anniversary Celebration Gala.

IWLA convention attendees, owners and operators of North America’s third-party warehouse logistics companies, voted for the winners among 60 exhibitors. IWLA members store, handle materials and fulfill for shippers and retailers of all kinds. Their warehouses are innovative and require innovative products to deliver for customers.   Attendees cited Foreverlamp’s products as key to creating efficiencies in sustainable warehouse operations. Foreverlamp’s advanced LED lighting solution enables forward-thinking warehouses to re-use their existing lighting in an eco-friendly manner. Utilizing the company’s products is as simple as replacing a light bulb: The patented Foreverlamp LED bulb fits into existing metal halide fixtures. The LED replacement lamp significantly lowers operating costs, positively impacts employee productivity, and helps achieve sustainability goals. This ensures that a trailer cannot depart until loading has finished and the dock door is closed and locked. Visit http://www.castell.com/us/salvo/ for more information. SALVO loading dock safety “eliminates human error.”   “Warehouse logistics organizations are constantly evolving their services to meet client needs. In order to do this, they need to partner with vendors whose tools allow them to grow in new directions and expand their product offerings,” says IWLA Chairman Mark DeFabis, CEO, Integrated Distribution Systems, Inc., based in Plainfield, Ind. DeFabis oversaw the 2016 event as chairman of the IWLA Convention Planning Committee.   The 2017 IWLA Innovation Contest is open to all convention exhibitors. Prizes will be awarded March 21 during the association’s 126th Convention & Expo in Palm Springs, Calif.
