ERC-VG2 SERIES BUILDS ON SUCCESS OF ERC-VG FORKLIFT WITH AVAILABLE LITHIUM-ION POWER FROM THE FACTORY, IMPROVED PERFORMANCE AND ENHANCED ERGONOMICS

Yale Lift Truck Technologies announces the ERC45-70VG2, a 4,500- to 7,000-pound capacity electric cushion tire lift truck designed for high-intensity warehousing applications. The ERC-VG2 series takes elements of the proven ERC-VG model and enhances them with next-generation technology and ergonomic improvements that boost operational efficiency.

Benefits of the ERC-VG2 include:

  • Up to 65% faster lift and lower speeds compared to leading competitors, helping operators move more loads, reduce delays and keep operations ahead of schedule
  • Up to 20% reduced energy consumption over the previous model, according to VDI cycle testing, for extended runtimes to match demanding duty cycles
  • Largest through-mast window in its class, which is 34% larger than the previous model, for outstanding forward visibility

The configurability of the ERC-VG2 series gives customers the flexibility to choose a solution tailored to their application, duty cycle and performance goals. The Intelimatch™ configuration is optimized for everyday warehouse operations, while Duramatch™ is engineered for high-throughput, multi-shift environments – enabling customers to precisely balance performance, efficiency and runtime to meet operational demands. The ERC-VG2 is also available with a range of battery options, including lead acid, thin plate pure lead and factory-integrated lithium-ion power.

In addition to outstanding forward visibility, clear sightlines and a near-zero turn radius help operators navigate tight spaces efficiently. The operator compartment is available with suspended and air ride seat options to reduce shock and vibration transmitted to the operator, intuitive controls and flip-up armrests to help operators stave off fatigue and work efficiently.

“Supply chains and warehouse operations run on tight margins, and are pushed to squeeze as much productivity as possible from scarce labor resources,” said Lauren Grady, Product Manager, Yale Lift Truck Technologies. “The ERC-VG2 series pushes electric forklifts forward with key improvements that help operations do more with less and keep total cost of ownership in check.”

The truck is designed for reduced maintenance compared to the previous model, with fully sealed wet brake axles requiring 20% less service over the life of the truck. When service is necessary, quick-access panels, tool-free service points and over-the-air diagnostics boost maintenance efficiency and minimize downtime.

The ERC-VG2 comes standard with the wireless monitoring tier of the Yale Vision telemetry system and the company’s Dynamic Stability System. Operations can also opt up to additional Yale Reliant operator assist solutions, which reinforce operating best practices with active alerts and interventions. A five-inch touch screen display provides easy access to critical truck information, including speed, direction of travel, battery life and load weight. The display also enables users to calibrate performance and troubleshoot any issues with the truck.
