OnSSI announces that it is now a certified member of AMAG Technology’s Symmetry™ Preferred Partner Program and its Ocularis 5.1 Video Management Software is now certified with AMAG’s Symmetry Access Control v8.0.2 and future Symmetry v8 versions. With testing and certification having been completed by both companies, Ocularis 5 video management software can now be displayed within Symmetry and Symmetry’s alarms can be displayed in Ocularis.    “The correlation of video and access control provides users with an effective and intelligent solution that improves overall security and heightens situational awareness,” said Ken LaMarca, VP of Sales and Marketing, OnSSI.    Features and benefits of the integration include the ability to view live Ocularis video in the Symmetry Virtual Matrix, full video playback availability at all Symmetry client PCs, and capability to add Ocularis cameras to Symmetry Graphics. The integration also allows customers to display and action Ocularis alarms in Symmetry, and to transfer Symmetry alarms to Ocularis for video triggers when using the Symmetry XML Open Integrations Module.    “The addition of Ocularis video to the Symmetry platform is an intelligent integration that adds substantial value for users,” said Dave Ella, Vice President of Product Marketing, AMAG Technology. “Users can now view Ocularis video via the Symmetry Virtual Matrix and better manage security overall.”   Ocularis 5 is designed as an intelligent, cost-effective platform that simplifies workloads and system management. Features include Critical Camera Failover that ensures continuous sight by switching to a failover camera in as little as two to three seconds; hardware efficiency, allowing generic settings to be copied across multiple channels for faster installation, and stronger network security with end-to-end encryption. Ocularis 5 also features better storage management with automatic optimization of hard drive volumes and load balancing across multiple storage components.
