Poweramp recently introduced the new UniLock™ Vehicle Restraint. With its advanced cam design, the UniLock is the only trailer-positioned restraint in the industry that can automatically release “RIG Wedge” pressure, which is caused when a trailer’s Rear Impact Guard applies so much force to a restraint’s hook that the restraint cannot disengage without the trailer reversing. The UniLock is also equipped with an internal safety mechanism that locks the hook in place when pressure is applied, making it universally effective on any obstructed RIG, included intermodal trailers with cover plates.
