LEDtronics Next-Generation LED Cobrahead Luminaire for efficient roadway illumination

Listen to this article

The new LEDtronics® LED street light fixture follows the traditional cobrahead design but delivers an energy-efficient, high-lumen output with 146 lm per watt performance. The latest cobrahead series consumes minimal watts but replaces metal-halide/HPS luminaires 150W up to 250 watts.

The UL-listed LEDtronics luminaire is lightweight and easy to install, making it ideal for lighting roadways, highways, and sidewalks in residential and commercial settings, as well as outdoor parking areas, driveways, and walkways, security, and area floodlighting, construction lighting, in addition to tennis courts, stadiums, and public parks.

The new LEDtronics SLL002PH series street light eliminates unwanted glare, light trespass, energy waste, and sky glow that accompany traditional incandescent lamps. The new cobrahead fixture produces 8800 lumens of 5700K cool-white light that conforms to the IESNA Type III (asymmetric) illumination pattern. They also operate with an input voltage range of 100 to 277 VAC.

The cobrahead fixture meets IES lighting standards, and its full cutoff beam has an intensity of 3304 candelas, at 105° vertical / 135° horizontal viewing angles. They instantly turn on, with no delay in re-strike. With average lumen maintenance of more than 54,000 hours, its 144-piece SMD LEDs operate reliably, year after year, and are virtually maintenance-free.

With a wide ambient operating temperature range of ~-22F to ~+140F, the RoHS-compliant LEDtronics cobrahead streetlight has IP66 protection and IK09 weather/durability ratings, making its solid-state construction resistant to high shock, high vibration, powerful jets of water, and environmental extremes. It features a stylish and durable die-cast aluminum housing with an electro-coated, anti-corrosive paint finish and a clear, tempered glass lens. The universal adjustable two-bolt mounting bracket fits 60mm poles and has an adjustable angle of ±10 degrees.

The latest generation SLL002PH cobrahead roadway and area luminaire comes with a 7-year LEDtronics warranty. Other available options for qualified volume offers to include: Surge protection devices (SPD-20KV/10KV); other white CCT colors: 3000K, 4000K, 5000K, and 6500K; other beam distributions: Type-I, Type-II, Type-IV, and Type-V; photocells, shorting caps, as well dimmable versions.

The series is available through LEDtronics distributors, and quantity discounts are available
