Larson Electronics, provider of commercial and industrial grade lighting equipment, has announced the release of a 160 watt low profile LED light fixture that is a direct replacement for four foot, four lamp fluorescent light fixtures.

The GAU-48-160W-LED-DIMM from Larson Electronics is a general use high bay LED linear integrated light fixture that provides 19,200 lumens of illumination in a 160° wide flood beam spread. This low profile, highly efficient LED light fixture is a direct replacement for existing four lamp T5HO fixtures, providing twice the lamp life, increased durability, and less energy consumption. This fixture is housed in an aluminum casing and the LED assembly is protected by a shatter resistant polycarbonate lens. The integrated LED assembly has a 50,000+ hour service life, which results in extreme efficiency and greatly reduced maintenance costs. The solid state design of LED technology gives this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extremes in temperature, and a lamp life over twice that of standard fluorescent bulbs. The integrated heat sink allows for efficient heat dissipation, preventing the LEDs from overheating and keeping the overall temperature of the fixture relatively low.

With a 0-10 volt dimming function, this fixture is equipped with a secondary low voltage dimming cable to control the light intensity of the fixture. This secondary signal cable is connected to the user provided dimming controls to dim the fixture. This 0-10V dimming fixture is compatible with Mark 10 style dimmer switches. This low profile LED light fixture features two adjustable brackets, providing operators with easy installation and allowing for adjustments of the light assembly. This unit is designed to be either surface mounted or hung from cable or chain and includes built in mounts. This unit is multi voltage, operating on 110-277 volts AC and is supplied with a 10’ line-in cable with flying leads. We also offer a low voltage 12-24 volts DC model for low voltage applications, such as off the grid and remote locations powered by alternative energy. The energy efficiency and longevity of LEDs make this light ideal for use in places requiring high bay illumination such as warehouses, malls, parking garages, and other similar environments.

“This new LED fixture is a direct replacement for four foot, four lamp fluorescent fixtures,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO at Larson Electronics. “It provides twice the lamp life, better durability, and uses less energy to operate than a standard fluorescent light fixture.”
