J.W. Winco, Inc., supplier of standard industrial machine components, announced it now offers GN 1024 metric size steel or stainless steel spring cotter pins. The GN 1024 spring cotter pins, which are RoHS compliant, are used for the axial mounting of bolts and axles, as well as an anti-twist mechanism. Due to their double loop, spring cotter pins have a flatter spring characteristic and are therefore easier to install. Also, a retaining cable with a key ring can be attached to the double loop to safeguard the spring cotter pins against loss. The steel version is zinc plated with a blue passivated finish.
