J.W. Winco, Inc., supplier of standard industrial machine components, announced it now offers GN 614.5 Metric Size, Plastic Push-Fit Short Spring Plungers. The GN 614.5 spring plungers, which are RoHS compliant, are used as detents as well as for push-on and push-off applications and ejectors. The geometric shape of the plastic housing creates a self-clamping function that compensates drill-hole tolerances of as much as .2 mm (.008” of an inch). The push-fit by hand assembly makes overhead installation easier. Temperature resistant up to 50° C (122° F), the spring is stainless steel AISI 631, while the ball is either AISI 420C hardened stainless steel or, Polyacetal plastic.
