The Plastics Industry Association mourns leader

President and CEO Bill Carteaux has passed away from complications of acute myeloid leukemia (AML)

The president and CEO of the Plastics Industry Association passed away on Monday morning December 10th due to complications from acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

“We have lost an incredible leader, colleague and friend. Our hearts are broken to learn that Bill Carteaux passed away early this morning.” stated a press release from the Plastic Industry Association.  “Bill has been fighting this disease with determination and courage.”

“Bill was more than just an inspiring, larger-than-life leader for our industry, Bill was a dear friend to each of us who were lucky enough to know him.” the release added.

Plans for a memorial service will be released as it becomes available. In the meantime, the Association is asking for people who knew Bill to send condolences to his family. You can share your remembrances of Bill at rememberingbill@plasticsindustry.org.”
