Leaf chain manufacturer FB Chain is donating 100% of the proceeds of its limited-edition black and orange chain wear gauges to Garden House Hospice Care. DPD is also donating the delivery cost for each gauge.
Garden House Hospice Care provides free specialist palliative care for patients, families, and carers facing life-limiting illnesses from across North Hertfordshire, Stevenage, Central Bedfordshire, and Cambridgeshire.
Demand for the hospice’s care has increased as a direct result of COVID-19, while usual funding streams have dramatically reduced, and the charity is experiencing a significant shortfall. Although Garden House Hospice Care receives some government funding, it relies greatly on volunteers and donations from local businesses, groups, and individuals.
“The amazing staff and volunteers at Garden House Hospice Care perform an incredibly important service in our community – and it’s a charity close to many of our hearts at FB Chain. We have been involved in many successful fundraising events for the hospice over the years, so it is particularly sad for us to hear of their struggles at a time when their vital work is needed more than ever,” says Martin Green, aftermarket manager at FB Chain.
To help meet the shortfall, FB Chain has pledged to donate every single penny from the sale of its 100 limited edition black and orange chain wear gauges, while DPD will donate the delivery costs. FB Chain’s professional wear gauge is an accurate and user-friendly tool that indicates the precise percentage of elaboration on leaf chain and roller chain, so maintenance engineers and insurance inspectors know when it is time to replace the chain safely.
