Elastomeric Engineering Company Limited (EECL), a fully owned subsidiary of Hexpol AB, recently expanded its manufacturing campus in Horana Sri Lanka. A new plant and was commissioned and fully operational in March 2016. The facility is located in close proximity of its original plant increasing the operational synergy among the other existing plants. The new facility will focus on injection molding operations. “The main objective of this investment was to expand and increase the productivity of complete wheel production by bringing the entire process of injection molding under one roof.” Stated Roger Jonsson Managing Director. Keeping in line with HEXPOL AB’s policy of sustainable development, this new plant complies with the Integrated Management System of EECL (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 and ISO 50001).
