The Association of American Railroads (AAR) issued the following statement by President and CEO Edward R. Hamberger in response to the announcement that the Amtrak board of directors has named Richard Anderson President and CEO of Amtrak, succeeding Charles “Wick” Moorman.  “The AAR and its members welcome Richard Anderson in his new role as President and CEO of Amtrak, a vital passenger rail service to the United States. We look forward to working with Richard and welcoming him to the AAR Board of Directors.” “While Wick will stay on board for a transition period, we take this opportunity to thank Wick for his invaluable leadership at a critical juncture for Amtrak.
