Carolina Handling, TinMan Systems Launch Conveyor Monitoring Partnership

Strategic collaboration combines advanced diagnostic technology with Carolina Handling’s service expertise to help customers improve uptime and performance.

Carolina Handling, the exclusive Raymond Solutions and Support Center for North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida’s Central Time Zone, is continuing to strengthen its commitment to innovation through a strategic partnership with TinMan Systems. The partnership delivers advanced conveyor health monitoring using the Mobile Conveyor Inspection System (MCIS), one of the diagnostic tools built on TinMan Systems’ intelligent diagnostics layer for monitoring equipment health.

Carolina Handling has its own MCIS units and interprets the diagnostics for the customer. The MCIS rides directly on the conveyor, capturing real-time diagnostic data through video, thermal imaging, audio monitoring, and vibration analysis to identify potential problems before they result in failure.

“Partnerships like this are important because they allow us to bring together the right combination of innovation and execution. At Carolina Handling, we take a consultative approach with our customers, working closely with them to understand their operations and identify opportunities for improvement. Our focus is on helping customers get more out of their operations, and that means not just introducing new technology, but making sure it’s applied in a way that delivers real, measurable results across their facility,” said Carolina Handling Chief Operating Officer Joe Perkins.

Unlike traditional inspection methods, the MCIS provides visibility into conveyor performance during normal operations, allowing facilities to plan maintenance around production schedules and helping to identify issues such as bearing wear, misalignment, overheating components, and material-flow disruptions.

By combining TinMan Systems’ innovative diagnostic technology with Carolina Handling’s service expertise, the partnership enables customers to move beyond reactive maintenance and adopt a more proactive, data-driven approach, reducing unexpected downtime and costly disruptions.

“A strong partnership is built on complementary strengths and a shared focus on customer outcomes. The MCIS is one of the tools we build on TinMan’s intelligent diagnostics layer, and that foundation is what turns real-time sensor data into the equipment-health insights customers can act on. Carolina Handling has shown a genuine commitment to understanding how the MCIS works and how its insights can support the facilities they serve. That level of engagement is exactly what helps customers get the most value from the technology,” said Spencer Hirsch, Senior Business Development Manager at TinMan Systems.
