More than 1,000 students reached through previous events

The Raymond Corporation will host its annual Manufacturing Day event at its headquarters in Greene, New York, on Oct. 4, 2019. High school students from schools across the Southern Tier of New York will have the opportunity to explore the rewarding, highly skilled jobs available in manufacturing through interactive demonstrations and presentations.

Raymond professionals will highlight innovation in manufacturing through engaging activities and real-life experiences based on their everyday work. In addition to testing the Raymond Virtual Reality Simulator and Welding Simulator firsthand, students will have the opportunity to speak with Raymond employees on how they can pave their own career paths in the industry.

“Raymond is thrilled to be hosting its fifth Manufacturing Day event to inspire students and encourage them to explore careers within the manufacturing and material handling industries. Through our past Manufacturing Day events, we have been proud to host over 1,000 students and inspire them to learn more about the opportunities available in today’s manufacturing environment,” said Tony Topencik, senior director of operations, Raymond. “Based on the multiple years of success with the event, the Raymond team is looking forward to connecting with over 250 students this year through interactive presentations, hands-on experiences and informative conversations.”

Students also will receive a tour of Raymond’s world-class, award-winning manufacturing facility and learn more about job opportunities in manufacturing at Raymond. The event will conclude with closing remarks from Steve VanNostrand, executive vice president of human resources at Raymond.
