Kintop leads material handling division at Hodge Material Handling

Hodge Company in Dubuque, Iowa announced that Todd Kintop has taken over leadership as the company’s new Vice President of the Material Handling division, effective August 2, 2015. Kintop joins Hodge with more than 20 years of experience in the Material Handling Industry and has a proven track record of success in his ability to expand on a dealership’s overall growth.

Todd most recently spent the last 4 years as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Capital Equipment & Handling, headquartered in Harland, WI, where he oversaw sales efforts and initiatives across 4 branches throughout Wisconsin. As a distributor of Nissan (UniCarriers) and Clark, Kintop and Capital Equipment were a 5-time winner of the Prestigious Nissan 9 Dealer of Excellence Award. This award is presented to the top 9 Nissan dealers in North America and is based not only in equipment sales, but in customer satisfaction and aftermarket capabilities.

Before joining Capital Equipment, Todd held management roles in Safety, Marketing, and Sales for Conger Toyota Lift over a 14-year span. Under Todd’s reign as Sales Manager for Conger in 2005, he quickly rose to the top as he helped the dealership achieve the President’s award 5 consecutive years by his relentless focus on customer productivity and safety awareness to impact the customer’s bottom line.

“As we seek aggressive growth in our Material Handling division, we focused on identifying an extraordinary leader who could bring vision, a vast amount of experience, and focus to our already successful company,” says Tim Hodge, President of Hodge Company. “We are pleased in the experience and more importantly – the results Todd has demonstrated in growing dealerships in his past leadership roles.”

“I am honored and humbled to be a part of a strong company that has such a rich and successful history as Hodge,” says Todd. “I’m anxious for the opportunity to learn about our customers and all of our employees. I see a lot of passion in this company’s willingness to take care of the customer and I’m excited to help add to that level of enthusiasm.”

Todd succeeds Andy Daughetee, who will be transitioning into a new role as Corporate Controller across all divisions of Hodge Company. This new position will expand on Andy’s existing responsibilities in the Material Handling division, but will also include higher-level oversight into the entire organization’s financial health. Andy will help lead and execute continuous improvement efforts to track performance metrics that support the company’s strategic direction.

In addition to Andy’s new position, Eric Mond, who previously held the position of Corporate Safety Manager for Hodge Company, will be joining Kintop within the Material Handling division as Operations Manager. In this new position, Eric will be overseeing branch operations and strategic initiatives and will be instrumental in process improvements across departments.

“We’re shaking things up a bit, and leveraging the knowledge of all our entities to blur the lines between divisions,” says Tim Hodge. “Both Andy and Eric have had a high degree of success in their respective careers, Andy with Hodge Material Handling, and Eric primarily with TM Logistics. We feel the knowledge that Andy brings over from the Material Handling side will be of great benefit for our Logistics division, and the same is true for Eric.”

To round out the list of changes, Derrick England will be taking over as Corporate Safety Manager for Hodge Company. Derrick comes to the corporate office from serving as Safety Coordinator within TM Logistics’ Kernersville, NC facility where he exemplified a high level of knowledge and skill for safety training and education.

With the addition of Todd and some of the other personnel changes, Hodge Company is poised to make strides in its ability to become a major player in the market.

“We’ve made some major changes that will continue to expand on our plan to becoming a leading player in the logistics and material handling industry,” says Mike Hodge, President of TM Logistics. “We’re undergoing some major restructuring and rebranding of our company to leverage our unique value proposition. That all starts with getting talented people on the bus, and the right people in the right seats.”
