Tom Smith, the General Manager of National Lift Truck, Inc., announced a major inter-departmental business restructuring, resulting in two professional promotions within the company.

Bruce DeFord has been promoted to FLEET OPERATIONS MANAGER, a new position created by the company to facilitate the management of multiple services required by the constantly growing National Lift Truck’s customer base.  He has been in the rental department for the last 18 years, serving as rental manager for the last 13 years.

Utilizing his 18 years of industry experience, Bruce will be coordinating and managing the operations of the National Lift Truck fleet. His responsibilities will include overseeing of purchasing and selling of equipment, management of service personnel and making decisions regarding the maintenance of the fleet.

Rob Jacklin has been promoted to RENTAL DEPARTMENT MANAGER in place of Bruce DeFord.

Rob, who has been in the equipment rental industry since 1993, started working for National Lift Truck in 2013. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Illinois and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Benedictine University.

Together Bruce and Rob have the knowledge and experience to provide the leadership needed in the competitive equipment business.

National Lift Truck is a family-owned company, carrying on for decades with the same business philosophy it was founded on over 50 years ago. While it is constantly evolving, growing and changing, there’s one thing that has never changed at National Lift Truck: a strong commitment to provide customers with quality service and products delivered by enthusiastic, talented and experienced professionals.

Congratulation to Bruce and Rob on their new roles!
