A new, heavy-duty coil scale that features a small footprint, low-profile, and is suitable for above ground or pit mount installation is being introduced by Alliance Scale, Inc. of Canton, Massachusetts. Alliance RoughDeck® CS Coil Scales from Rice Lake are NTEP approved in capacities from 25,000 to 100,000 lbs. and can be used above ground or can be custom built to fit existing pit frames. Designed for weighing massive steel coils, ingots, and other dense material to legal-for-trade accuracy, they come in standard sizes from 4 ft. x 6 ft to 10 ft. x 20 ft. Featuring a low-profile, Alliance RoughDeck® CS Coil Scales incorporate tightly spaced 8” x 15 lb. steel I-Beams, a smooth 1/2” thick top plate, and patented self-checking mounting system. Providing top access to load cell pockets, they are easy to install and service. Options include digital weight indicators, remote displays, printers, and coil cradles.
