TVH in the Americas (TVH), provider of quality replacement parts and accessories for the material handling and industrial equipment industry is continuing its support of the American Heart Association’s, Go Red for Women Campaign by being a CPR Sponsor. With this sponsorship TVH is striving to raise awareness about heart disease, the number one killer of both men and women.

As many as 400,000 people will suffer from cardiac arrest this year and eighty percent of those will occur outside of the hospital. In fact four out of five cardiac arrests happen at home. Effective bystander CPR provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival. That is why TVH has partnered with the American Heart Association to provide free Hands-Only CPR classes for all employees at each of TVH’s locations.

The 30 minute class teaches Hands-Only CPR (CPR with just chest compressions). This technique has been proven to be as effective as CPR with breaths in treating adult cardiac arrest victims and has been recommended by the AHA for adults since 2008. Participants will learn how to recognize the signs of a cardiac arrest and be able to practice chest compressions on a CPR mannequin that clicks when the chest is pressed hard enough, simulating the force needed to accurately perform this life saving technique. With this training TVH employees can help save a life.

TVH has grown to become one of the most respected names in the material handling and industrial equipment industry. Our commitment to service, knowledge and product availability has made TVH a One-Stop-Shop for our customers and their industrial parts requirements. We offer more than 7.5 million products from 10 locations in the Americas.
