Xtreme Manufacturing grows C-Class Telehandler at CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2020

Following the launch of three new C-class telehandler models at World of Concrete 2020, Xtreme is expanding its product offering again at CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2020. Launching at the show, the new Xtreme XR1734-C has a 17,000 lbs. (7,711kg) lift capacity, and up to a 34 ft. (10.3m) maximum lift height, and a forward reach of 17 ft. (5.1m). Weighing 33,360 lbs. (15,131kg), the XR1734-C is powered by a Cummins 3.8L 120hp Tier 4 Final diesel engine and has 11° frame leveling (left-to-right). The XR1734-C joins other recently launched models, including the XR1347-C, XR1547-C, and XR1555-C, expanding the Xtreme telehandler line to 22 models, one of the largest ranges in North America. With a focus on commonality across the product line, the XR1734-C shares a similar chassis, cab, and electrical and hydraulic systems with other recently introduced models, including the XR843-B, XR944-B, XR1055-B, and XR1147-B, XR1347-C, XR1547-C, and XR1555-C. This helps to improve both operator and service technician familiarity with the Xtreme family of telehandlers, and also helps to reduce parts inventory for customers running a fleet of Xtreme units. All of the new units are electric over hydraulic, and features Xtreme’s new modular cab design, which enables the cab to be easily switched from open to enclosed, or vice versa, with an optional kit. This provides customers with greater flexibility when operating their telehandlers in multiple environments. The new cab has also been upgraded with a more modern, user-friendly design, and includes a USB port for charging cell phones and other devices. Additional air vents have been installed throughout the cab for increased air conditioning circulation. The new design cab, which is now fitted to all Xtreme models from the XR843-B to the XR1734-C, has new storage pockets for carrying straps, chains, and other items securely on the lift. The XR1734-C is available with either foam filled or solid tires and is offered with a choice of three cab configurations – open; enclosed or enclosed with heat and air conditioning. A wide range of C-class attachments are available, including pole grapples, sling mounts, truss booms, buckets, and personnel platforms, in addition to the range of fixed and fork positioning carriages and fork tines to customize the lift for a variety of applications. Common with all Xtreme telehandlers, the new XR1734-C has 360° operator visibility from the cab, intuitive controls that enable the operator to keep one hand on the steering wheel at all times, and a machine-rated boom lift point for safe handling of suspended loads. At CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2020, Xtreme Manufacturing is also providing a sneak preview into two new industry-leading telehandler models. The company is displaying renderings for the new XR1285-B and XR2585-B telehandlers that both offer a maximum lift height of up to 85 ft. (25.9m), and 12,000 lbs. (5,443kg) and 25,000 lbs. (11,339kg) maximum lift capacities respectively. Backed by Xtreme’s industry-leading 10-5-2 warranty, the XR1734-C will enter production in Q2 2020 at Xtreme’s Henderson, Nevada manufacturing facility. Conexpo 2020: HELLA to present innovative and smart LED solutions

HELLA presents solutions for more Design, safety and comfort At Conexpo, the international trade show for the construction industries in Las Vegas, the lighting and electronics specialist HELLA will showcase from March 10-14, 2020, its comprehensive range of products for construction vehicles (Booth South Hall 2 S65310). One of the highlights will be the new LED work light series Modular Worklight whose design has been adapted to the modular lamp series “Shapeline”. By combining these two lighting series, vehicle manufacturers can now give an unmistakable and individual appearance even to their small quantity series. The work light series is available in the two design lines “TECH” (classic straight lines) and “STYLE” (dynamically curved). Depending on the required light output, you can also choose between the BASE and PRIME versions. In addition to the standard light distributions for close-range and long-range illumination, the “Modular Worklight” series is also available in the innovative, glare-free illumination variant ZEROGLARE. In addition, the new series is already prepared for smart lighting solutions. Vehicle manufacturers can swap a successor generation for smart future solutions one-to-one, eliminating the need for costly design changes to offer their customers a lighting upgrade. With the new smart version, it will be possible to control each work light and each individual LED independently without their own wiring harness. This makes it possible to address specific work or driving situations individually for the first time. The new beacon K-LED Rebelution also provides more safety and comfort. This newcomer marries together to design, quality and function in one product. Furthermore, HELLA has transferred EdgeLight technology from the automotive sector and then applied for patent approval for the optical warning system segment. The light emerges from a narrow, 8mm-high light band instead of through a dome. The warning effect is thus ensured: the K-LED Rebelution meets the legal requirements of the European ECE R 65 directive for beacons and is therefore approved to be used on public roads. HELLA is well-known as a manufacturer of headlights for the automotive industry. Some time ago, however, HELLA greatly expanded its area of expertise to produce not only lighting products but also premium electronic components for the automotive industry and for commercial vehicles such as construction machinery, buses, caravans, trucks, and agricultural or mining machinery. The demands on the components for special vehicles are particularly high here since they are used under hard conditions. HELLA’s wide range of electrical and electronic products offers performance and quality care tailored to these requirements. At the Conexpo HELLA will showcase for example the RADAR technology which enables a 360° environment recognition for identifying moving objects around the vehicle like pedestrians – and also Identification of static objects around the vehicle is possible. This is an important safety feature, especially in environments require blind spot detection. In addition, HELLA shows the Intelligent battery sensor and the Rain/Light Sensor and many other electronic solutions.

Preview: Snorkel reaches Above & Beyond at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2020

Snorkel is reaching above and beyond at CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2020 with the launch of the world’s largest self-propelled boom lift. Dubbed a ‘Mega Boom’, the new Snorkel 2100SJ telescopic boom lift reaches a maximum platform height of 210 ft. (64.0m), provides an industry-leading horizontal outreach up to 100 ft. (30.4m), and an unrestricted platform capacity of 660 lbs. (300kg). For enhanced access and flexibility at height, a 30 ft. (9.1m) jib boom, with a working arc of -55° to +73°, combines with 150° rotation of the 8 ft. by 3 ft. (2.4m x 0.9m) tri-entry platform. Designed in-house by Snorkel’s engineering team, the 2100SJ features a number of patent-pending innovations, and a significantly increased working envelope over the current industry standard. Equipped with five steering modes, and with a stowed transport width of just 8 ft. 2 in. (2.5m), the Snorkel 2100SJ has been designed for ease of transportation and maneuverability on the job site. Shown as a preview, Snorkel will be accepting pre-orders for the 2100SJ at the show, with first deliveries scheduled for early 2021.
