UniCarriers Americas expands Mid-Atlantic sales team

UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA) grows its sales team in the Mid-Atlantic region by hiring Robert Smith as its newest regional sales manager. As regional sales manager, Smith’s responsibilities include overseeing, motivating and assisting dealers as they promote UCA’s products in the Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. areas.

Smith brings more than 12 years of forklift and aftermarket regional sales experience to his new position. Prior to joining UCA, Smith worked as a marketing supervisor and dealer development manager for CLARK Material Handling Company and a marketing and sales associate, regional manager and sales planning manager for Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America.

“UCA is very excited to incorporate Robert’s strong knowledge and interpersonal communication skills to our growing sales team,” said Charlie VandenBosch, senior manager, outside sales for UCA. “We look forward to the positive results that he will have in growing the UniCarriers brand.”

Smith lives in Lexington, Ky., with his wife and two children. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Kentucky. Smith is an outdoor sports enthusiast who enjoys hiking and camping.
