JDA software positioned in the leaders quadrant in all four Gartner Magic Quadrants focused on supply chain solutions

JDA Software Group, Inc. announced that it is has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the “Leaders” quadrant of all four Magic Quadrants focused on supply chain. With the recent release of the “Magic Quadrant for Sales and Operations Planning Systems of Differentiation” in April and the “Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems” in March, JDA is now a leader in all four supply chain-focused Magic Quadrants, which also include “Magic Quadrant for Supply Chain Planning Systems of Record,” and “Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems.”

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant reports position vendors within a particular quadrant based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute. In the Sales and Operations Planning Leaders’ Quadrant, JDA has been positioned the furthest for completeness of vision.

“We believe our positioning as a Leader in all four supply chain reports published by Gartner is a validation of JDA’s end-to-end planning and execution value proposition — along with our balanced investment strategy,” said Kelly Thomas, chief product officer, JDA Software. “JDA has an unmatched depth and breadth of supply chain solutions.   We are delighted to be acknowledged as a Leader. Our solutions in sales and operations planning, transportation management, supply chain planning and warehouse management have helped our customers achieve significant strategic and financial advantages. Looking ahead, our entire team at JDA is committed to continue delivering customer value via our best-of-breed software solutions that support true supply chain transformation.”

Following is a brief overview of the four Gartner Magic Quadrants where JDA has been positioned as a Leader:

Leaders Quadrant in “Magic Quadrant for Sales and Operations Planning Systems of Differentiation,” April 29, 2015

According to Gartner, “A sales and operations planning (S&OP) system of differentiation (SOD) is a software solution that supports a Stage 4 or higher-maturity S&OP process. It may do this in conjunction with other supply chain planning (SCP) SODs (such as supply chain modeling, multienterprise inventory optimization and demand sensing), and with the support of a foundational SCP system of record.”1

JDA’s Sales & Operations Planning solution empowers executive-level decision making on corporate, financial and operational plans by enabling integrated business planning and management. Extending beyond traditional demand-supply matching, JDA’s solution aligns S&OP with corporate financial goals to drive cross-functional alignment. From forecasting to distribution management, this level of enterprise-wide visibility provides companies with the data they need to achieve strategic objectives and maximize profits.

Leaders Quadrant in “Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems,” March 24, 2015
According to Gartner, “Multimodal transportation management systems (TMSs) generically refer to the category of software that deals with the planning and execution of the physical movement of goods across the supply chain…TMS suites have been extended to include all transportation management functions across multiple modes — from strategic planning, strategic freight sourcing and procurement, through visibility and performance management, to freight payment and audit capabilities.”2

JDA Transportation Management solutions support the entire transportation lifecycle, from order management through customer service and financial settlement. This solution facilitates collaboration with customers and carriers — managing the transportation process and providing end-to-end visibility throughout all stages.
Leaders Quadrant in “Magic Quadrant for Supply Chain Planning System of Record,” March 6, 2014
According to Gartner, “An SCP SOR is a planning platform that enables a company to create, manage, link, align, collaborate and share its planning data across a supply chain — from demand plan creation through the supply-side response, and from detailed operational planning through tactical-level planning.”3
JDA Supply Chain Planning solutions provides global, end-to-end supply chain optimization across procurement, manufacturing and distribution — enabling manufacturers to improve service levels, increase productivity, reduce operational costs and drive profitable growth.

Leaders Quadrant in “Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems,” May 15, 2013
According to Gartner, “WMS applications offer capabilities such as receiving, put-away, stock locator, inventory management, cycle counting, task interleaving, wave planning, order allocation, order picking, replenishment, packing, shipping, labor management and automated material handling equipment interfaces.”4
JDA Warehouse Management solutions optimize the movement of inventory — including the people and material handling equipment required to move it. From raw materials to finished goods at the shelf and fulfilled to consumers, these solutions help enable the most flexible, lean distribution operations possible.
