Custom shaft collars solve mechanical design problems

Custom manufactured shaft collars that can be engineered to perform multiple functions and can be machined from a wide variety of materials are available from Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts. Stafford custom shaft collars can incorporate characteristics such as cams for actuation, threaded holes for attachments or mounting, o-ring grooves, milled slots, spherical bores and internal or external threads, knurled and scalloped outside diameters, and wrench flats.  Typical applications include mounting, locating, clamping, spacing, actuating, stopping, and more. Available in one-piece, two-piece, hinged, and set-screw styles, Stafford custom shaft collars can be machined from high temperature alloys, stainless steels, titanium, aluminum, brass, bronze, Teflon®, Delrin®, and other materials.  Supplied in single to production quantities, sizes can range from 1/8” to 13” I.D. with < 0.001” tolerances, depending upon configuration.
